Phonak Introduce PartnerMic for Marvel Hearing Aids

Phonak Introduces PartnerMic for Marvel Hearing Aids

The Marvel hearing aids range from Phonak has proven to be one of their most successful hearing aid platforms. Like most modern hearing aids, Marvel will handle most situations for most people. However, like most modern hearing aids, sometimes, in some situations, and for some people, they just aren’t enough. With the advent of the Marvel 2.0 upgrade, there are now several solutions including RogerDirect which gives you access to all of the fantastic Roger assistive devices. They have also released a more simple PartnerMic which could be an ideal solution depending on your needs. Let’s take a look at it.

What is it?

The PartnerMic is an easy-to-use, lapel worn microphone for one-to-one conversations in more complex sound environments. The device uses Phonak AirStream™ technology, which streams clear speech direct to Marvel hearing aids.

Where can you use it?

Pretty much anywhere that you want to hear your conversation partner clearly. So it is ideal for restaurants, pubs, busy cafes, the car, you name it.

Easy to set up and use

Phonak have made the device really simple to set up, you pair the PartnerMic with the hearing aids by simply switch it on and holding it close to the hearing aids. That’s it, it’s paired. Once you have paired it, the device works automatically when you turn it on.
Your partner simply wears it and it delivers their voice, direct to your hearing aids at the best signal to noise ratio possible. That means that you get the optimum chance to understand what is being said. The device gives you:

– Up to 25-meter range between speaker and listener
– 6 hours of use
– 2 hours to recharge

Partner mics or remote mics are ideal solutions for many people, they tend to be discreet and they offer the very best opportunity to hear your partner in moderate to heavy background noise. While hearing aids have become better than ever in background noise, for some people, and some situations, a remote mic is still a worthwhile expense.

The PartnerMic is ideal if most of your needs are based around one-to-one conversations. If your needs are based more on group conversations in noisy situations or if your needs are mixed between one-to-one and group conversations, well then something like the Roger Select may be a better option for you.

The Roger Select technology supports group conversations with dynamic microphones that offer the best opportunity to hear well in group situations when there is background noise. The Roger Select can also be used as a lapel mic when you are having a one-to-one.
